Raymond J. Garofalo, 85, of New Sewickley Twp., passed away March 1, 2023 at his residence. Born October 19, 1937 in West Aliquippa, he was the son of the late Marco and Adelina DiPilla Garofalo. He was a retired engineer with Conrail in Conway, was Catholic by faith, and a Peacetime US Army Veteran.

He is survived by one son and daughter in law, Marco R. and Lisa Garofalo, New Sewickley Twp.; two daughters and one son in law, Cheryl L. and Michael Wilson, Rochester Twp., and Claudia M. Armani Bavaro, Independence Twp.; seven grandchildren, Chelsea, and Tyler Wilson, Nicholas, Matthew, and Madison Garofalo, Giovanni and Giuliana Bavaro, in addition to several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Courtney R. Wilson, and two sisters, Mary Scarsella, and Christina Garofalo Corrado.

Raymond’s wish was for a private blessing service being held Friday, March 3, 2023 at 1:30 PM at the Woodlawn Cemetery, entombment to follow the blessing service. Arrangements are in the care of the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME INC. 349 Adams Street, Rochester.

The family wishes Memorial Contributions be made to the St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN, 38105

The Beaver County Special Unit will provide full military honors at the Woodlawn Cemetery Friday at 2 PM.
